THE

CARBONE

The family favorite traditional meat sauce.

Ingredients - 4 Servings

1 jar ( 1 litre ) Don Carbone Tomato Sauce

1 pound of meat in any combination listed below

** Meatballs - freshly made or frozen (see recipe)

Quality Italian sausages - cut into 2-3" pieces

**Pork back ribs - Cut into 2 ribs pieces 454g ( 1 Lb )

Penne or any pasta of your choice ( Remember ridged pasta or bronze cut works best ) 

Instructions

1) Add a jar of Don Carbone's sauce into a sauce pan and heat on medium heat

2) Once at a boil, reduce heat to simmer.

3) Add meat(s) of choice  Meatballs should be partially cooked, add ribs and/or sausage raw Simmer on low for 1 1/2-2 hours (Low and slow is the key)

4) When meat is almost ready boil water and cook pasta according to directions on package.

5) When pasta is almost ready, remove meat from sauce onto a serving dish using a slotted spoon 

6) Drain pasta. Add sauce to pasta and serve. Meat can be added to pasta or served as a second dish.
